Boston Voice Lessons

Amy Dancz is an experienced voice teacher seeking new students with a passion for singing and a joy for making music - all levels welcome. A classically trained soprano with an extensive background in pedagogy, foreign languages and stage performance, Amy's past performances include engagements with Boston Lyric Opera, Berlin International Opera and Berklee Performance Center.

She received her Master's of Music in Vocal Performance from the prestigious New England Conservatory of Music, and a Bachelor's of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Miami with minors in French, German and Theatre. She has studied in Vienna, Austria at the Universitaet fuer Musik und darstellende Kunst, Salzburg College in Salzburg, Austria and has studied with world-renowned teachers. In addition to leading a Group Vocal Worksop with Bay State College, Amy recently returned from teaching vocal technique workshops in local communities in Dar Es Salaam with Art in Tanzania..

Amy is currently accepting students of all different musical backgrounds who wish to develop a healthy tension-free vocal technique, stage confidence, and musical expression. All styles of repertoire are encouraged (musical theatre, pop, classical, etc). All students interested in performance opportunities are invited to participate in Student Recitals a few times a year, as well as small monthly Studio Classes. Amy teaches downtown in the Steinert Building at 162 Boylston St, easily accessible by the T. Gift certificates are available upon request.
